This filter frame holds gels for your Lowell Tota light. It does an okay job of doing this but is quite a bit awkward to work with. I had to fumble with this thing quite a bit before I was able to get it just right. Even then there was quite a bit of light that is wasted.
Also, you cannot use an umbrella and this at the same time without a separate stand for the umbrella.

Comments about Lowel Tota-Frame for 10x12" Gels:
I had been struggling with how to mount gels in front of my lowell lights for some time, especially when they are in a soft box. These work great and collapse down to a small size that easily fits in my kit. You can buy the regular rosco gels and cut them into 4 panels that clip onto the front of the holder.
I would buy them again.

I was pleased you do not have to trim precut 12 x 12 gels to fit. Works as advertised.

This is a nice frame which also folds up very compactly. It can't be used at the same time as an umbrella FYI.

Comments about Lowel Tota-Frame for 10x12" Gels:
After years of clipping gels onto barndoors, now I prefer the clip them onto these Tota-frames. Then my gels don't get bent and damaged. They are also held a little farther from the hot light. I've used them on Lowel Omnis and Tota, so far. They come with built-in gel clips, but sometimes I use small metal binder clips, especially if my gels are not cut exactly right. For the price and the weight, these are worth it.

Not much to say - darn thing fits, folds up, and will last forever.
Instead of jerry rigging it and singeing your fingers and gels, just get this already!

Comments about Lowel Tota-Frame for 10x12" Gels:
I'm equipment manger for a video production company and we own 6 of these. We've folded and opened them hundreds of times and one has yet to break--simple in designed, but very reliable. The only thing I would like to see is a tightening thumbscrew where the frame attaches to light to stabilize the gel/gobo a little better--minor point--
