Lowel Counterweight - 4.25 lbs
A modular counterweight with a 5/8 in stud at one end which attaches to the female ends of the Lowel Full and Half poles as well as Lowel booms. A female 5/8 in receiver on the back end allows another weight to be attached. This will make an even heavier counterweight. Slots in the side allow this weight to fit in the leg struts of stands, increasing stability.

Four Stars because I feel it's a bit pricey, particularly if you buy 2 or 3 of them. However, they are a solid design, and you can link and lock them in a line to counter-balance heavier lights and loads. You can also place them on the bottom spreader fins of light stands instead of sand-bags to stabilize, or add a light on the stud. If you want something hassle free and works with your existing lighting and grip kit easily and flawlessly, this is nice gear. Too bad Lowel/BH does not offer a package deal for three.
