The CEMAX 12mm Eyepiece from Coronado is a high-quality 12mm ocular for telescopes that accept 1.25" eyepieces. This Plossl eyepiece features sharp optics, a compact form-factor, long eye relief, and a standard apparent field of view.
CEMAX is an acronym for 'Contrast Enhanced'. Designed specifically for use with Coronado's H-Alpha solar viewing systems, CEMAX eyepieces are fully multicoated to ensure maximum contrast enhancement for solar viewers.
CEMAX eyepieces are not filters. When employed as part of a solar viewing system, they must be used in conjunction with a blocking filter and a SolarMax filter.
