The cable is very rugged and protected and can withstand rough use or just being thrown in a travel bag or a car for easy integration of your audio device (cellphone, mp3 player, cd player, etc) with any device (TV, car, stereo, etc) with a 1/8" Stereo mini port!

There aren't a number of options available like this connector, so I didn't have many choices. Monster cables are often overrated for their price. This one was very reasonable and does the job it is suited for. The construction is good quality for an inexpensive cable but I would have preferred a heavier gauge wire and better shielding since I am using it to take audio from my flatscreen TV to a preamp. It is 7' long, but for my use not quite long enough, although this isn't the fault of the cable.
I gave it 3 stars only because it does the job adequately, but not exceptionally.

I use this in my studio to connect my DP-4 to the mixer. It would also be perfect for connecting an iPod or other player to a stereo system.
