From Ambient Audio, the TinyMike is a compact camera-mountable microphone that delivers incredible sound quality while operating on minimal power. The TinyMike provides a solution to the less-adequate microphones included on high quality, compact video cameras such as the PD-150. The microphone utilizes just 3 volts of power, making it extremely efficient and versatile. An optional phantom accessory may be purchased for operation with +48V power sources. The directional polar pattern minimizes off-axis noise while the compact size is ideal for use on high quality consumer and professional video cameras alike.

Awesome little microphone with great performance and features. Used on a Canon 1D Mark 4, the sound out of this microphone is far greater quality than the on board microphone. One of the best features is that you do not need a battery to run it!!

I purchased the Ambient Recording TinyMike over a year ago and originally used it on my SONY HC7's. I now shoot Canon DSLR's for video and produce multimedia content for my clients. This microphone has become indispensable in my work. The sound quality is amazing and can be used as an external microphone on my Zoom H2 audio recorder as needed. The quality of build is very high a[...] My only complaint is the proprietary connector to the microphone - otherwise, I highly recommend this product.
