Flags are square or rectangular frames with mounting pins attached. Used to control natural or artificial light. Can be used to protect the camera lens from flares, control spill light from other sources, or keep light from reaching an area on the set.
Newly designed 90° Flag frames will make it possible to position the instrument over the top of the set wall or to use two or more units to create a box for better light control.

I use this for portrait photography to prevent light from bouncing back into my lens. This makes a big difference in the lighting of my photos. Helps the photo look as you intended it to look. A great accessory for indoor portrait photography!

Comments about Matthews 18x24" Flag:
I recently did a noir-like glamour shoot. This flag helped quite a bit. I used it to manipulate the light coming from a Fresnel lens key light, and it created just the right shadows on my model's face. This is the type of product that when you play with it, you discover various ways to manipulate light.
