International orders*The Bencher Copymate II is a versatile system ideal for anyone using 35mm or lightweight video cameras. The user friendly Copymate II includes a rigid 3' aluminum column and a 19 x 20" gray laminate baseboard with a complete grid for easy copy positioning. The light arms mount at the rear of the baseboard to allow easy copying of oversized originals. A unique dual brake locking system eliminates lateral carriage shift, assuring precise positioning of the camera carriage.
Copymate II Copystand including halogen copylights and light arms, one each side, offers high intensity lighting for virtually any copystand application. Halogen lamps maintain 300-watt intensity and 3200K color temperature throughout their life for extremely consistent results. Built in lamp switches permit individual control for special lighting effects.
The camera carriage features two machined steel shafts with a 3.5" of front-to-back travel allowing easy centering of the camera lens over the baseboard. A full range of accessories is available for the Copymate II.
Note! This item contains the Dimmer Switch for lowering light output for focusing and composing. Bencher #90031 is the same set-up but without the Dimmer Switch.

Comments about Bencher Copymate II Quart Halogen Tabletop Producer with Heavy Duty Spring:
This is made in Illinois. I had a question about an adjustment & talked to one of the owners. I use it to take digital photos of small works on paper, & small 3-D objects, with my macro lens. It works pretty simply. My 3lb. DSLR fits on the camera mounting snugly & the heavy-duty spring action is smooth, getting the camera into position. The adjustment knobs are robust. It locks into place firmly. It is not a geared column. The camera-mount has been improved. There is one centered hole, & a slot beneath it that allows one to adjust the lateral movement, depending on your camera's tripod location, instead of the 3 holes shown in the photo. I flipped a coin & got the halogen lights, with the dimmer control. (I'm am amateur.) This equipment is built solidly & goes together quickly. It was well packed in its box, which was a good tip-off to me right away. It is quite gangly looking, assembled, but surprisingly takes up a small area of my workshop. The finishing is superb, from the paint to the smooth edges. The B&H description is accurate.I don't regret the expense. It will serve my purposes very comfortably. Bencher clearly takes pride in their products & my conversation confirmed that. I'd give it 9 stars out of 10, if I had the choice. [...]
