The Dionic 160 is a lightweight Lithium-Ion chemistry battery for professional ENG-style camcorders. Dionic 160 can be used to power lighting loads and other accessories with a total output of up to 10 amps; a capability usually reserved only for nickel based chemistries.
- Real Time Display
- The Dionic Battery automatically detects the camera load and calculates the battery's run time based upon existing operating conditions. When the camera is subjected to a change in power requirements, the camera's battery indicator will reflect the changed battery run time.
- Compatibility
- Dionic offers complete compatibility with PowerChargers already in the field (may require software chip update) and the Titan series.
- Cell Chemistry
- Dionic contains an exclusive cell configuration unlike any other video battery. Instead of using cells originally designed for lighter duty applications, such as computers, this battery is constructed with specialized lithium ion cells originally designed for high rate military applications.

I bought a pair of these five years ago to power my full-size ENG-style Sony and Panasonic HD cameras. I've shot countless episodes of network TV segments and a two-year doc in 15 countries. I'm talking all day, box of tape, camera hot-as-a-pistol shoots...and these big Dionics never let me down. Now at 5 years of age, I can STILL count on them to power me thru a long shoot day...1 battery in the morning and 1 in the afternoon! And that often means simultaneously powering the cam, a cam-mounted monitor, wireless and sometimes a nanoflash. Sure, they're expensive, but for power density and weight savings, I think they're still the best battery value on the market. Yes, TSA flight rules have changed on lithium content, as a result I'm slowly transitioning to smaller Dionics. But if you don't fly often, these are great batteries.

Great Battery if you dont need to fly commercial with it. This battery will last all day on my Beta SP. XDCAM HD will last even longer. Panisonic hd900 almost all day. The downfall with this battery is that it is Illegal to fly on cmaercial airlines with it. [@]
