Tele Vue eyepieces come in several variations and focal lengths to match your particular preferences amongst the variables of size, weight, price, eye relief and apparent field of view. They're universally applauded by both amateur and professional astronomers alike, and hold their resale value incredibly well.
The Panoptic 24.0mm eyepiece is produced as a lighter, more economical alternative to the flagship Nagler designs. It has a very respectable 68° apparent field of view with moderate eye relief. You will save a considerable amount of size, weight and money versus the Naglers. The 24mm Panoptic is a particular star in the line, and there is no finer choice for use in the Bino Vue Stereo Binocular Viewer.

Comments about Tele Vue Panoptic 24mm Wide Angle Eyepiece (1.25"):
This eyepiece is an outstanding product. It offers a spectacular wide view. Bright, sharp image... edge to edge. Good eye relief. Excellent color quality. Quality construction.
About the only fault I have with it is the slight pincushion distortion. (I think that's pretty unavoidable with an eyepiece this wide.) I would recommend it to anyone looking for a wide 24mm eyepiece.

I was skeptical about buying another 1.25" eyepiece but after reading other reviews I decided to give it a try. I am glad that I did. This is now my go to eyepiece for planet viewing.
