I needed to power some external devices for my camera. I used to carry around a 12+ pound battery belt for my external monitor and 50 watt on camera light. After my battery leaked and burned a hole in my couch I became frustrated not to mention the damage caused so I opted to somehow use the power tap on my camera. The female power tap is an easy to use plug that anybody can install on existing equipment. The instructions were clear and the plug very well made and you can feel the quality. Replace your 4-pin XLR or cigarette lighter plug with the female power tap kit and plug your device directly into your camera or battery power tap. This power tap kit added new freedom to me moving around on a shoot.
