Pelican 1720 - Case em Espuma (Preto)
The Pelican 1720 Long Case with Foam (Black) is an unbreakable, watertight, airtight, dustproof, chemical resistant and corrosion proof hard case used to carry any kind of equipment that needs to be protected from impact damage. It is made of Ultra High Impact structural copolymer that makes it extremely strong and durable. It has a 0.25" (6.4 mm) neoprene o-ring, easy-open double-throw latches that seal perfectly. It includes an automatic purge valve for quick equalization after changes in atmospheric pressure.
The 1720 comes with a top folding handle, 2 side folding handles and built-in polyurethane wheels with stainless steel bearings. The padlock protectors provide added strength and extra security against cutting and theft.
This case has a 3-piece foam set interior.

This is being used as a gun case for a rifle. It is perfect since it just fits in my trunk, is TSA approved for travel, has the ability to be properly locked, and has the typical Pelican strength we've all grown to love.
I was VERY happy that it wasn't the pick-n-pluck foam but a solid foam. It made the use of a sharp serrated knife to carve out a spot for the gun so much easier.
I really have nothing bad to say about this product.

Rock solid build quality - there is no other choice when it comes to hard cases in my opinion. Helpful to also order the desiccant accessory to minimize issues caused by condensation.

Most cases I've purchased serve their purpose of protecting their contents, but longevity is a concern. After being checked through airports a half dozen times the cases start to fall apart; hinges break, become dented to the extreme etc. This is the first case I've found that has come through unscathed, withstanding abuse that broke a similar case, and I found out the hard way it really does float while keeping everything inside dry. From now on, all my cases will be Pelicans.
