I've had the bag now for a couple weeks. On my first vacation with it. It is easy to travel with. Really like how the backpack straps work. When you detach the backpack the main bag fits nicely in the overhead bin.

Comments about Pelican PCS-182 Rolling/Backpack Case (Black):
This bag replace a great Tamrac bag that I outgrew. I tried an import product. It had good design and lots of pockets but the interior was weak. The dividers were weak and everything fell to the bottom. My new pelican bag holds two large nikon bodies, most of my lenses, several flashes and all my peripherals. I like the way I can remove part and have two bags. A few extra pockets on the outside would have been nice. This bag is rugged and can be moved easily down the street or sidewalk. I haven't used it as a backpack. When I do I'll take only what I need as the bag itself is pretty heavy. Someday you'll want a bigger bag. This is one you can easily grow into.

I bought this bag to use when travelling. It holds all my gear (Canon 7D + 70-200 f2.8, 24-105 f4) easliy and it's compact size allows me carry all those $$ onto the plane with me. The detachable computer bag feature works great, hold a laptop + lots of books and papers. Very easy to wheel around when attached to the main bag.

I am an amateur photographer based here in Al Khubar, Saudi Arabia. In truth I have tried most popular brands of Camera bags but nothing satisfied my needs for a Cam Bag like the PCS-182 it's so packed with the features a Camera bag should have. It just seems to me that the guys at Pelican answered everything I wanted to have for a "Camera Bag for Life". I would definitely recommend to buy this bag. And most importantly it's not ridiculously priced. It's worth every penny. P. S. the Removable Daypack Bag for laptop is simply brilliant!

Comments about Pelican PCS-182 Rolling/Backpack Case (Black):
I use this product every day and am able to keep everything organized in the well padded dividers that are easily interchangeable. It does have some zippered compartments and the laptop bag is very useful. I was able to put it in the overhead of my flight as well. It won't hold all my gear, but it does hold about 80% of it... I have too many lenses! It's a little heavy for my small frame to use as a backpack without whacking someone else.

Comments about Pelican PCS-182 Rolling/Backpack Case (Black):
I bought this case before a trip to Jamaica, and it was absolutely perfect! We were able to use it as a carry-on, and it fit both of our Sony Alpha camera bodies, as well as 5 lenses, extra batteries and chargers, and still had two empty compartments. Very sturdy, too - I was never worried about our equipment being damaged while in this case. I now use it for every wedding I photograph...

Comments about Pelican PCS-182 Rolling/Backpack Case (Black):
this bag has it all, tons of room, great protection, removable computer pack, so the bag works as a carry on, can convert from roller to backpack on both parts, very strong zippers, and can even be converted to a regular bag, as the total camera insert compartment can be removed.
