This shockmount is SOOOO nice. I feel completely at ease that the mic is not going to slip out. Paired it with a "BOOMPOLE f/ NTG1" and there is no handling sound. There are two screw holes perpendicular to each other that allows for added variation/adjustments. Also, the tightening handle has a button so that after you tighten it you can swivel it out of the way. All in all, well worth the extra money for the reliability of this product.

Works great, using for Docs. Kinda shoot and run. Anyway easily adjustable and flexible. I looked at a few others but this seemed to be the best for the money.

The shockmount that came with the original kit literally disintegrated while on location. I checked available replacements on the B&H site and found the Boompole Shockmount with Soft Suspenders by K-Tek to be reasonably priced and potentially more robust. My hopes were answered. On my first location I found the new shockmount to be easy to use and adjust and a very solid element to my mic boom kit.

I was searching for a good quality shock mount. I've read many reviews about using the ones with rubber bands though those were okay if you were on a low budget but for serious videographers the Ktek is a must have.
