Light enough to not be a burden when lighting on location & strong enough to hold a strobe head with softbox. Great to position a hair light.

This is my second one. The first is silver, so I wait untill the black version was available. This is one of the best things that I have ever bought. Small, sturdy, very well made... great.

I use this product to put the strobe on axis and above my subject. The quality is great. Raises and lowers smooth.

Comments about Avenger D600CB Mini Boom - Black and Chrome:
I have nothing bad to say about any Avenger product including this one. I have this on an Avenger C-stand and it holds a 22" beauty dish at any angle and height I need it too. I have also used it to hold a 47" Octobox and it bends a little at full extension but it I am definitely over the recommended weight for the range.
You need a boom buy this one!

Comments about Avenger D600CB Mini Boom - Black and Chrome:
This boom might be called "mini" but it is pretty heavy duty, and heavy in weight. If you are looking for a light-weight boom for a hot-shoe flash to make a small travel kit, it is probably overkill. If you are planning to put on a softbox, or beauty dish with an Elinchroms/ABs or similar lights, it is great.

Comments about Avenger D600CB Mini Boom - Black and Chrome:
Great for outdoors or indoors. This is NOT a mini boom, but definitely heavy duty. Works very well with Paul C Buff lights and big light modifyers. You really get more than what you pay for with this.
