I got the mathews c stand.... didn't realize i wouldn't be able to mount lights without it. Ended up having the stand for 2 weeks without it waiting for it to arrive. You pretty much have to have it, so it doesn't matter how good it is built lol. But in that respect thing is solid steel it looks like and you can pretty much beat the mess out of it and it will keep working.

I purchased the 6" pin to use on the arm of my Matthews C-Stand for my studio strobes. It is extremely well made and works perfectly. Anyone owning a C-Stand should have one of these for mounting accessories and lights.

I use these with my 40" arms and grip heads to hold my Elinchrom monoblocs. They make it easy to turn your arms into short booms especially with a big softbox that is hard to angle on a stand.
