Gepe Card Safe Extreme Watertight Case - for Four Compact Flash (CF), Smart Media (SM), Memory Stick (MS), Multi Media (MMC) or Secure Digital Cards (Neon Green)
The Gepe Card Safe Extreme (Neon Green) is a watertight case made to store memory cards such as Compact Flash, Smart Media, Memory Stick, MMC or SD cards. Inside, the memory cards are protected against humidity and dust, as well as electrostatic charge. Four compartments offer space for several different memory cards, and grip each of them tightly.
The Card Safe Extreme uses insert material to protect the memory cards from being erased or damaged due to electrostatic effects. The card holder also has special viewing windows so you are able to see which space is taken by which card, even if the box is closed. This makes the organization of your cards easier. In addition, it is weatherproofed and it floats in water, and the design of the lock makes using the Card Safe a snap, even when wearing gloves.
The Card Safe Extreme has been tested and certified as European IPX-7, which means it is protected against immersion in water (immersion for 30 minutes at a depth of 1 meter).

I bought this product after working as a 2nd photographer under someone who uses the Gepe card safe. I was impressed with the product and immediately bought one because I have always had trouble keeping my cards organized.
I use the following system to keep cards organized: I start every wedding with 8GB cards in two cameras, and my card safe filled with 4 more 8GB cf cards. When I fill up a card, it goes in the Gepe card safe face-down (so I know it is used). At the end of the night I simply take my face-down cards out of the Gepe, take the other cards out of my cameras, and upload them to my mac.
Kudos to Gepe for making such a great product, it seems like nothing can fall out of this and the cards would be protected if the case got wet (unlike the ThinkTank pocket rocket).
I gave this 5 stars but still think there is a little room for improvement. I love the green color case that I bought, but I wish it was glow-in-the-dark (to make it easier to find in a dark reception hall) I also wish that it had an area to write contact details just in case it gets lost, so someone could return it.

This storage case is waterproof and is said to be able to float. In addition if you use both compact flash and SD cards, I discovered that you can put in four of each card by stacking them in each compartment.

I have mixed feelings on this case. It will, without a doubt, keep your CF cards safe. In fact I think this container could survive a war. But quite frankly, I think its overkill. The container is almost 1" thick when closed. And for its size, you'd think it held 8 CF cards. If you want max protection for your cards, this baby will provide it. But I won't purchase another. I just wanted something to keep my cards stored in... this takes up too much space.

Instead of keeping your cards in those flimsy plastic cases, do yourself the favor and pick up one of these. The neon color makes it a lot easier to find in a camera bag/backpack. Just pack and go!

I'm absolutely certain my cards are protected. Before putting my cards in it, I tested it to make sure it was watertight. No leakage was detected after an hour in a foot of water, so I'm very happy.
The only problem was the tightness of the interior. Its actually quite difficult to pull CF cards out. You need nails or a tool. One thing that worked well was another CF card, but I don't really like using it as a lever. Other card types are held equally tight, but its easier to get a grip on them to pull out. This thing needs a better way to grab the cards. To make it usabe with my SD to CF adapters, I actually had to scrape a little rubber away so it wouldn't grab at tightly.
However since the units main purpose is to hold and protect cards, I still gave it four stars.
One other note: I ordered two of the same color. I'd strongly recomend getting a mix of colors even if you don't thing you will need it. Too often my wife and I have nearly walked out of the house with each others cards.

I use this memory card holder to store my CF cards for my DSLRs. It is a fantastic value for the money and a little bit of added insurance for peace of mind. The case is rugged and water resistant, snapping firmly shut sandwiching your memory cards in silicone rubber. I haven't tested the watertight theory yet, but I am certain it is! I bought one at first to see if I liked it, I had even thought about a Pelican version, but after using this one, I am ordering two more soon; they are that good! I just wish they would hold more than 4 CF cards...

I use this to store both CF and SD cards together. Thanks to the way the storage unit is designed the SD cards fit nicely under the CF cards, essentially allowing me to store eight cards.
My only gripe is that the CF cards fit too snugly in the case. I generally have to use something to wedge the cards out.

Well designed product at fair price to hold those very expensive UDMA CF cards. Too bad that neither SanDisc or Lexar see fit to include any kind of secure device to hold and protect these cards that they sell at an obscene price.
