Comments about Matthews Drop Ceiling Scissor Clamp with Baby (5/8") Pin:
I always keep a bunch of these in my toolbox for quick setup on location or temporary sets. These are the first ones I have bought in a long time to replace some old ones that were getting a little stiff in the sciccor clamp. These seem to be built well. I bought 8 of them and it looks like they came from 2 or 3 different batches as there are slight variations in some of them - for example, two of them have texturing in the recessed area of the pin for added grip, but the others do not.

this thing will last forever!
the wire holder is a nice add on. at first I though it was broken, as the thing wouldn't spread open. Since it doesn't have instructions, it took a while to figure out that you need to unscrew the spigot to unlock it. it's a vlever idea, I just didn't expect it.
