Manfrotto 682B Professional Monopod (Black) with 234RC Swivel/Tilt Head
The included 234RC swivel-tilt head was designed specifically for monopods. The head with quick-release features a one-axis movement which allows the positioning of the camera for a vertical format with the Monopod in the upright stance.
Used normally, it can support very large camera and lens combinations.

Superbly made. I considered the 682B with the less expensive 234 head, but decided I wanted the quick release 234RC head and I am glad I paid the extra for this model. Extremely well made, the section holding the legs seals with an O-ring when the legs are inside the pod - keeps water and trash out of the pod tube. Release lever has a simple robust lock. I considered the 560B fluid video monopod with the same head, but one reviewer pointed out that the ball joint did not lock, so that does not fit my intended uses. My first Manfrotto product for home use, have a couple at work and quality is super.
