I wholeheartedly recommend this... this little jewel is a very handy piece to have, and an excellent value. It's well made, and fits my camcorder and microphone perfectly, and has no trouble keeping its up/down and left/right alignments.
I do have one issue: the clip conducts mechanical noise from the tape transport and from handling of the camera into the body of the microphone.
But -- I can't blame the clip. The mic I like to use for ambient sound is very touchy and sensitive to handling noise.
This clip is a tremendous value for the price, and if you look at the design, it's fairly obvious that there's very little they could do to avoid sound/vibration conduction.
What you may not be able to see is that there's a nifty O-ring where the clip clamps down (screws down, actually, to meet a fixed, square mate piece that slides inside the shoe) to your hot-shoe, which is a good design element -- you're not just tightening plastic-to-metal-to-plastic, you've got some rubber in there to keep a tight connection without risking cracking things.
If you need something like this, this is a *deal*. I say "buy 2" even if you only need 1. That's what I did. Good move on my part.

This clip looks identical to those included with some Audiotechnica mics, like ATR25 and ATR55. The one I got with my ATR25 mic has cracked, so I bought not one but two more as replacement parts. They are cheap, still this is not a reason for breaking apart. I suggest to put it on your mic once -- very gently! -- and never take it off, or it will crack and fall apart. Also, check the threads and how smooth the nut turns. On one clip out of the two I bought, I could turn the nut only after I applied sanding paper. I was really afraid that I will break this thing.
This is not a high-tech high-tolerance product by any means. But for the price you may tolerate its faults, after all it works as intended, small, unobtrusive, light, and blends with black color of my camera and mics, so I have marked it as "recommended".

Clip is to wide for the size. Need to put tape on the mike just to hold it.

I bought several of these to replace the factory Sony PMW-EX3 microphone mounts...paired with the Adaptamax Shoe Mount Holder. It works great to hold my Audio-Technica AT897, plus it isolates camera noise MUCH MORE than the factory mount. Another good point to this mount...it's a clip in style so if the shotgun gets banged into something, it simple pops out and nothing is broken.

Had to use this with my canon T3i for a wedding I did. I don't have a video mic pro yet so I had to use my sennheisser ME66 to record audio. Of course the mic was totally bigger than my canon t3i, but in all by having this clip allowed me to get great audio for the day

I lost my hot shoe clip that came with my microphone so i needed another one so of course my first thought was B&H, so i ordered it and it came in FAST! After i had gotten it, i found my other one that I lost, but i trashed it because this CM-21 is SOOO much better. its sturdier, stronger, and holds the mic much better than the other clip i owned.
Thanks B&H!!!!

Used this with an Audio Technica ATR-25 microphone and it works great. It does seem a little bit fragile so I would recommend just putting it on the mic and not taking it off. However, I'm confident that if treated right it will last a very long time.

This is perfect for mounting on your camcorder or DSLR. I suggest not using larger and more expensive microphones with this. It would be betting to put the money in for a more sturdy mount, but as for the smaller microphones it works perfect and stays in your camera just fine. It is perfect for the price!

Comments about WindTech Hot-Shoe Shotgun Microphone Clip:
This is a simple, solid microphone clip that quickly snaps into a camera hot-shoe and tightens up. It easily accepts my Rode NTG-2 shotgun mic and holds it securely without the need to force the microphone to snap into the cradle. The only shortcomings are the fact that there's only vertical adjustments for the microphone direction (meaning the subject needs to be nearly centered in front of the camera) and there's no shockmount of course. Then again, it's 1/5 the price of the next cheapest mount and certainly of acceptable quality.
