We needed a way to send phone signal into a mixing board, as well as to send a mixing boards signal into a phone. After looking at several costly options, I came upon this gem. It's nothing pretty to look at- but it does exactly what it needs to. One XLR in, one XLR out. Perfect for dealing with events that require someone to phone in.

Would have gotten 5 starts if there was a way to monitor audio (headphone?) and a volume control for the signal you send to the phone.

In my sound studio setup, once every other week I administrate a teleconference. With speaker-phones only being able to pick up so much, and output little volume, it became more and more of a necessity to go through studio sound equipment than the inferior speakerphones.

I had used devices by Gentner with other businesses in the past, but I could not find a similar device of low cost that did the same simple job, and my sponsor did not want to deal with used devices from auction sale sites.

I found this device and marveled at the price, it's null audio control, and simple on (call) and off (drop) buttons.

After using it for about a month it has well proved itself, with clear sound, and I have had nothing but positive feedback from others on the other end of the teleconference.

The Auto button for automatic call pickup is rather useless and pointless in my setup, so I have never used it, and take care to see that it is always in the off position.

Over all this has been a great product and I look forward to possibly getting more and using the 1-space rack mount bracket to go with them.

This interface is being used in my voice over studio. It allows me to hear my client in my headphones and to talk to my client via the mic. The client is hearing what is being recorded - 1st generation - versus playback coming out of the speaker and through the telephone handset - 3rd generation.

My client can give me immediate feedback on their script.

I can also record a caller for interview situations.

Simple to hook up, even simpler to use.

OK unit. Not enough features to be considered a pro unit. Decent back-up.

I use this 'box' for recording sessions that require the use of a 'phone patch'. This interface allows me to speak with (and listen to) the producer/engineer on the telephone while simultaneously recording a session. I do voiceover work, and this sort of equipment is essential. The AutoHybrid comes with clear instructions and is easy to set-up and easy to use. After placing or receiving a phone call, one simply presses a button on the box and the phone line is secured AND I can converse with the other party through my headphones as the work is done. I ordered this particular unit after speaking with a JK Audio representative. Based on my needs, this was the recommended piece of hardware. I'm glad I own it!
