International orders*This sturdy mini tripod comes supplied with a 2-way pan head with a pan handle to make moving a camera mounted on the tripod easier.
As a compact traveler tripod, the Slik Mini Pro V is less than 8 inches long when packed up and weighs less than a pound. Like the other tripods in the Mini Pro line, this model has a suction cup at the base of the center column which will allow the tripod to be "stuck" onto a window or smooth metal surface for picture taking*.
The Mini Pro V can also be used as a chest-pod by raising the center column half way or more and placing the legs against your chest to stabilize the camera.
*Note: Suction cup will not support a camera weighing more than 1 lb.

I use this with a light tent to do product photography, macro photography, ... I love this tripod however there is one glaring annoyance; it wont tilt up and down. I didn't think this would be as big a deal as it is. I'm constantly wanting to tilt the camera angle down or up depending on what I'm shooting. You can do this in a limited way by adjusting the legs, however, at times it drives me nuts. Overall though I'm really glad I bought this, for the price, it was worth buying and it does come in very handy for me. Also, I have a Canon XSi with kit lens and I can put it in Landscape or Portrait orientation and this tripod holds the camera just fine if I set the legs right.

This is a great little tabletop tripod and eliminates the need for a steadybag to frame a shot. It's controls are sturdy and professional, though not quite like a fluid head. It works perfectly with both my video cam and my still cams. I do wish I could lock the legs so they wouldn't have to be flat out to hold a heavier camera steady. Maybe they can make a spreader? It's also handy while I'm uploading video to my computer. And looks cool on my desktop.

Comments about Slik Mini-Pro V Tripod with 2-Way Pan/Tilt Head - Supports 3.3 lb (1.5 kg):
The Specs said Max load is 3.3 pounds but this little tripod could handle my Canon 7D and 100mm Macro lens easily which is good enough for me. The legs are tube-like aluminum and not really solid so I wouldn't try hamering a nail with it, but other than that it holds up pretty well especially for the price ! I really like the smooth pan movement which comes in handy when shooting close-ups and macros.

I film football games for a high school in Indianapolis, IN. We are playing in Lucas Oil Stadium and where you film from is very high up, but the location has a counter in front of it so it is difficult to set up a standard tripod and film. The Slik Mini-Pro V allows me to set up the camera on the counter and so the films will be smooth with no jerking due to trying to move the tripod, the Mini-Pro V will insure easy panning. The tripod is light weight, but strong enough to handle a Canon GL2. The only wish I have is it needs a carrying case with strap so you can easily carry it with all of the other equipment.

I use the tripod as part of stability!! I create jewelry, and when setting up photoshoots, it is the perfect tool! Small, portable, lightweight and sturdy.. The legs do NOT draw in like some other small tri-pods.. I also use this for family, friends and group shots!
So very glad to have found this item at B&H- my Favorite supply store!!!!

Comments about Slik Mini-Pro V Tripod with 2-Way Pan/Tilt Head - Supports 3.3 lb (1.5 kg):
I use this when a full size tripod is perceived as being intrusive. If you have ever video taped people in public and have used a full size tripod then you have seen looks of shock and disapproval. Spontaneity never returns. The low profile and almost full sized performance have greatly improved my recording sessions. Because of its small size I am afraid of leaving it behind while I am outdoors in a park setting.

Comments about Slik Mini-Pro V Tripod with 2-Way Pan/Tilt Head - Supports 3.3 lb (1.5 kg):
Works well with my 7D and some pretty heavy lenses. Fairly smooth action all around and very compact.
This is perfect if you have very limited space when travelling and still want some steady long exposure shots. Price is excellent!
Only one thing, build quality could be just a tad better, but I'm nitpicking really.

This Mini-Pro V Tripod excels at keeping the camera steady while taking remote shutter pictures of fly tying sequences used as tutorials in my web page.

I make detail photos of scale models with a heavy macro lens. This tripod enables me to properly support and aim on table tops and other odd surfaces. I also make flower and insect close up photos. Unlike many other mini tripods, this compact tripod can support my rig in a stable position.

This is a handy little tripod. Its pretty sturdy. Ive had my rebel T1i with a 70-300mm lens on it with no problems. Sure there are better products out there, but for the price you cant go wrong with this one.

Comments about Slik Mini-Pro V Tripod with 2-Way Pan/Tilt Head - Supports 3.3 lb (1.5 kg):
I use it on a desk top to shoot up close photos of jewelry. I would like it better if it could turn 90 degrees to shoot vertically, but, unless I just haven't figured out how to do it, it doesn't! No instructions came with it. I like that it is sturdy, holds by Nikon D50, and has a suction cup for stability. The legs only give you about two inches of rise, so I put it on books to get it higher when needed.

Comments about Slik Mini-Pro V Tripod with 2-Way Pan/Tilt Head - Supports 3.3 lb (1.5 kg):
Although it is a little bulkier folded than I would like, it is plenty sturdy and well designed to hold a handheld video camera for table-top situations. The controls function smoothly and the leg stance is wide enough for a handheld camera without any long lens. Appears well made and didn't have any defects or cosmetic roughness that an inexpensive pod might have. This is my third Slik pod, and all are very good.

For some time I was looking for a mini tripod for my camera and this particular model works great with my SRL Canon Rebel XT camera. I fits perfectly in my backpack next to the rest of the accesories.
If you are looking for a mini tripod with horizontal and vertical axial movement this is the model to choose.
Cons: it does not have an integrated buble lever so it is hard to set a perfect horizontal angle. It has to be manually guessed.

I've used the tripod for long exposures and indoor portraits -- it is very stable, easy to set up, and supports my canon xsi w/ kit lens. I do wish it was a bit quicker to get the camera off the tripod, but in all it has been a very good purchase, especially for the money.

This is a GREAT little tripod. Really small folded up and easy to carry due to it's light weight. It supported my Nikon D300 with an 18-200 zoom without any issues. The rubber suction grip acutaly came in handy when I sat it on a round top garbage can. The legs held up the weight and the suction cup stopped it from moving.

Sturdy and lightweight for being so small. Great for stabilizing a camera for night photography and travel. It hold my Canon EOS 50D with Tamron 18-270 lens and/or 580 EX flash. Telescoping legs and suction cup base make it more useful and versatile. Solid built, Pan head control is very smooth.

Comments about Slik Mini-Pro V Tripod with 2-Way Pan/Tilt Head - Supports 3.3 lb (1.5 kg):
This little tripod puts my camera close enough to my subject matter to make good macro photos. The joints on the legs are stiff enough to allow me to raise it up a little beyond what the normal extensions provide. The only thing that I would improve would be to make it extend higher that it can now go.
