Comments about Phoenix 650-1300mm f/8-16 Manual Focus Lens:

The M42x0.75 external screw-on T-thread on the Phoenix barrel uses camera specific adapters. I took the adapter off to use the external 42x0.75 mm T-mount male thread for my Star Diagonal. The resolution of the lens system was improved using an entrance pupil/iris in front of the primary lens dew shield. Some 95mm filters may also help acheive as good as 0.9 arcseconds resolution at 190X magnification f=1300mm using a 25mm iris entrance pupil reduction for a clearer focus. At this resolution and magnification, the zoom focus is very sensitive, but gives better than 1.0 lux illumination for starlight night vision cameras. Craters on a quarter moon are clearly visible.

Comments about Phoenix 650-1300mm f/8-16 Manual Focus Lens:

This monster of a lens has a long minimum focusing distance somewhere around 25ft, but you can really get some awesome pictures with this. Takes some patience and skill to focus, but with a little practice, you'll get satisfactory shots. Very smooth operation and solid construction.
A must have for spies.
