You can cue CDs and DVDs very easily, something that is not possible on many consumer grade DVD players.

Comments about Pioneer DVD-V5000 PRO CD/DVD Player:
Attention is in the details. I use this in a church A/V setting, and the features for queuing up selections and playback options of DVDs is a must-have. Even the fact that it will HOLD A PAUSE is significant in such a setting. Connection and set-up was easy. Even though it still falls more toward the consumer realm, I still consider it a very professional product. My only wish is that it could be rack-mountable.

Comments about Pioneer DVD-V5000 PRO CD/DVD Player:
Our technicians use this DVD Player for events. It's supermantastic that it actually has external controls and you are not stuck using a remote. It has all the basic features we need especially a way to turn off the OSD. It also plays all the different types of DVD media we've come across so far. I'm a little sad that it doesn't have the USB input like the consumer version. That makes it really nice to have a quick cover image or slide show to flip too. I'm not broken hearted there, but maybe Pioneer will put it on the next version maybe DVD-V5001??? You won't be disappointed in this player. The next level up is twice as much and does almost just as much. There's a lot of features we are not even using like adding the external touch panel controller.

A very good DVD player. Can be connected to a computer. Works well with a Museum Technology controller. If power goes out the player will restart when the power comes back on.
