Comments about Cavision MB385PW Wide 3x3 Matte Box:
The only difference between this and the regular 3x3 mattebox is that this one has four corners. It is the same width as the regular one. The "wide" version can not be connected with the french flag which I hated the most. I recommend the regular version.

Comments about Cavision MB385PW Wide 3x3 Matte Box:
This matte box is solidly constructed. The hood is a firm but flexible rubber. The filter trays sit tightly in their slots and the rotating tray is also very stiff. I mean that as a positive - I'd rather these kinds of elements be on the tighter side so they stay in place.
On the fixed tray, there is a small tightening screw on the side, I assume this is to hold in larger Cokin P Series square filters, at least that's how I've been keeping the filters in there. (You need to remove the filter tray when using these particular filters - they sit loose in the slot)
I'm a big fan of Cavision products, this isn't the first one I've bought and won't be the last. Recommended. The only criticism here (and with most Cavision products) is Cavision's lack of documentation. This stuff is for people who are comfortable with this kind of gear and know how to set it up and use it. It comes foam-packed in a box - no documents, no instructions.

description says it will hold cokin p filters, but in fact they go in and slip right out the bottom. there is no documentation with this either. no info on installation or anything atall

Im using this product with a 15mm rails system. Its very sturdy and affordable. Works well with the T-bracket offered by Cavision. Would be nice if it had a hinge that allowed it to fly away on the rails to change lenses. However, it is a nice mattebox of the cost.

Comments about Cavision MB385PW Wide 3x3 Matte Box:
It's an alright matte box, made of rubber so it doesn't hold its shape perfectly. This model is not compatible with the Cavision rod support that I purchased with it. I ended up stripping the holes trying to get them to work together so i cant return it. one of the clamps is messed up on the filter holder. overall I'm disappointed, but if your using it as a clamp on matte box it works great.

Comments about Cavision MB385PW Wide 3x3 Matte Box:
I shoot with a VDSLR camera which I need ND filters. This is a great solution if you already 15mm rail set up.
It is solid build and the filter holders work fine although sometimes can get a little stuck. Also doesn't come with any screws to mount onto the Rails which is essential.
