This Kowa adapter ring allows you to digital camera to digiscope with your Kowa TSN-60*, TSN-66* and TSN-82* series 60mm, 66mm or 82mm spotting scope. You will still need to use an eyepiece with your spotting scope. Additionally, if you intend to use the TSEZ7 or TSEZ7B 20-60x eyepieces, you'll need the TSNDA1ARZ7 Extension Ring as well.
The focal length of your digiscoping combination is based upon the focal length of your digital camera's lens while in use and the eyepiece's magnification. If you were using a 100mm digital camera lens and a 20x eyepiece, for example, the combination would produce a focal length equivalent to a 2000mm lens.
All ventures in the world of digiscoping require the use of a sturdy tripod, first and foremost. You must take great care to keep vibrations during exposure to an absolute minimum. Employing a cable release, electronic release or remote control for tripping the shutter is absolutely necessary. And while it is not necessary per se, the TSN-DA3 Mounting Bracket (or similar device) will do wonders to reduce vibrations of your rig.
