Comments about Apple 20" Cinema Display Flat Panel LCD Monitor - DVI:
If you have a the older MacBook Pro, get it while you can....as Apple has already discontinued it. Whatever is out there is all that is available now.
Sure it is expensive. I was considering others monitors for less than half the price. I was able to try 19 inch monitor from my work laptop to connect to my MBP using the VGA adapter. It looked OK. But decided to go with the Apple Cinema monitor not only because it matches the MBP but also because I have only had Apple monitors.
When I received and hooked up the monitor, I am glad that I went with Apple. There is a big difference between this monitor and the one that I tried out. Image is like a picture. I guess that is the difference between getting something that is totally digital and something that goes from analog to digital.
Totally satisfied. Looks good too.

Comments about Apple 20" Cinema Display Flat Panel LCD Monitor - DVI:
I upgraded from a 15" ADC Studio Display that suffered from a dimming backlight, and wow, the extra desktop space is nice. I work with a lot of photos, so the extra resolution is quite handy for viewing. I would recommend getting a display calibrator for optimal performance.

Comments about Apple 20" Cinema Display Flat Panel LCD Monitor - DVI:
I use the CD for editing high res images.... I bought it as a second display for my older powermac g5 as I have been using my old 20" CD with my newer computer.
This display has great colors and is decent in size and works just as expected. Would recommend it to anyone.
While there are other monitors that have similar bang for your buck, I choose the apple displays because it keeps my desk looking clean. Plus I have never had an issue with apple service.
I have used all of my Cinema Displays with various imacs, powermacs and macbook pros and have never had an issue.

Comments about Apple 20" Cinema Display Flat Panel LCD Monitor - DVI:
Quality and image was great. If you have a Macbook Pro just plug it in and enjoy. If like me you you have an IMac core duo system don't forget to purchase an Apple MINI-DVI to DVI ADAPTER (NEW) - APAMDVIDVIQ you'll need it in order to connect the monitor and your system together. The price is a little high I think but [$] seems to be the going price no matter where you look.
