This KVM switch allows up to two PC or Mac computer connections and has two remarkable features. The exciting USB sniffing feature, which performs dual console operation without process interruption, and audio support, which allows for multimedia speakers to be shared between two computers. I needed a KVM that works with Windows7, but didn't want to have to spend too much. This IOGear unit has met that need. The attached cables are longer than the other KVMs that I have had, which has allowed me to eliminate all the extensions that I previously needed.
The one negative I would mention is the setup. When I first tried it, the computers wouldn't boot, and an error message made some reference to screen resolution. I researched it on the IOGear site and with Google, but didn't get a hit, so I ended up calling the support line. The problem was that the unit works with specific screen resolutions, in this case 1650x1080x60. The support person was sort of helpful. I ended up updating some drivers in order to get the required settings.
Although it took a bit of time to get everything together, the end result is a unit that will work as intended.
