The Electro-Voice RE-90LAT features the same profile as the RE-90L. This version features a sonic character that is matched for use with the Electro-Voice ND/767a handheld ENG microphone. Using both RE-90LAT lavalier and ND/767a handheld microphones result in a uniform mix of both signals without external audio processing.
The RE90LAT lavalier microphone delivers the sonic performance and dependability suitable for stage performances, lectures, house-of-worship applications and more. The ultra-miniature RE-90LAT is designed to remain unobtrusive during performances and video shoots.
The omni-directional polar pattern results in accurate sonic character at the direct and off-axis sections of the microphone capsule. The wide frequency response enables accurate signal reproduction and clarity, no matter what the source. The microphone is powered by 9 to 52V phantom power and the pre-amplifier / connector section features a belt-clip for easy mounting to belts, and clothing. The pre-amplifier is shielded to minimize noise caused by RF interference.

Comments about Electro-Voice RE-90LAT Ultra-Miniature Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone:
We use this mic for our Newscasts and the sound is good but the mic isn't the best for operations where there is a lot of movement. First of all, the plastic case breaks rather easily, especially around the set screw and the XLR clip (once that happens it's tough to keep the mic on the cable).
Secondly, the wire coming out of the base doesn't have much support so if someone tugs on some, the wires tend to break off the solder joints.

Comments about Electro-Voice RE-90LAT Ultra-Miniature Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone:
I teach video and drama in High School, and needed a mike that students could use with our cameras that wasn't wireless-this was the best quality for the lowest cost and I'm not disappointed-it is a good value, clear sound. Only comment: the connector housing, being composite material rather than metal, seems a bit thicker than other XLR connectors I've used-and in one camera, it is difficult to insert completely. However, that can be worked around.
