My brother has the magnetic bore sighter for several years and been very pleased with it. I recieved one as a gift and am pleased as well. Simple and easy to use. I carry it afield with me to check my scope for zero daily. Absolutely nothing wrong with the magnet on my sighter, it sticks very well. I plan on using this as a gift idea for other hunters in my family.

Positioning of bore sighter is not critical Line it up close to level with scope and you are done.

For bore sighting have used the original Bushnell with the mandrals. Then I went to Laser bore Sighter. This new magnetic is the best one yet. Very easy to ues. I have used this on four differena rifles and all papered at 4 inches from the bull or less at a hundreed yards. It seens like you can put the bore sighter in anywhere on the end on the barrel and dosen't affect the cross hairs. Thr only negitive is the bore sighter shift on the end of the by it's self. Stronger magnetic might help.

Can't understand the first two reviews; I find the magnet on the boresighter so strong that I have to pull it off my rifles after use. Easy to use. I am very happy with the procuct.

Directions are simple enough, the problem is that the magnet ( at least the one I got ) isn't STRONG enough to hold the Sighting Unit verticle while you do any adjustments, causing the Unit to fall over to one side or the other. Total waste of my [$]. I bought a BA*S**A BORESIGHTER, sighted in 4 Air Rifles within 30 minutes.Enuff' Said...This is a TRUE & HONEST statement, should NOT be considered inflammatory, just telling it like it is.

Brand name fooled me, got this for my Long Guns to sight in before the range. Tried to attach as indicated, the magnet wasn't strong enough to hold the unit in position on the end of the barrel. I had to use some duct tape to hold it straight; then...it worked pretty good.
I bought the "other" Unit that has the arbors that fit in the barrel, THIS one worked VERY WELL.
