Marshall Electronics V-LCD-MT-01 Camera Hot Shoe Mount
The Marshall V-LCDMT01 is a useful mounting solution for many video camera operators. The bracket attaches to the camera's shoe mounting point, usually where a light or microphone might be attached. The bracket has the universal 1/4-20 screw that many portable LCD monitors and other accessories accept. The bracket can also provide side-to-side and up and down adjustments for positioning your accessory to maximum usefulness.

I think B&H should offer a "everything connection device kit" wich contains items like this hot shoe mount. Everytime I get something else in audio, video of stills ... I need a new connector. My Canon 5D mk. II has a hot shoe on toop for flash/monitor... my video camera has a hot shoe on top too ... but some genius made it a MALE, not a female ... the on-camera monitor has one hot shoe ... but mostly screw holes ... and on and on. This thingy works fine ...[...] Can't wait to seach for another connector thingy!

I attached a Marshall SB65 to it. It's a 6.5" on camera LCD, and one of the lightest ones. It won't hold it, so I assume it will not hold anything...Read complete review
I attached a Marshall SB65 to it. It's a 6.5" on camera LCD, and one of the lightest ones. It won't hold it, so I assume it will not hold anything, at least, it won't safely hold anything. It doesn't work, monitor falls on it's face. Don't buy it.

I use this adapter to mount my Zoom H2 to my GH1, so I can get decent sound. The adapter does pretty much all I could ask it to, simple to use, sturdy, and easily adjusted.

I use this to connect my Zoom H1 to my Canon 7D and/or Canon Rebel T2i. It's exactly what I needed. Also works perfectly with Sony's UWP-V1 portable wireless lav system. (The receiver can mount on my cameras using this hot shoe mount.)

Used it to hold 7 inch Marshall monitor. Hold it well however I do not like the hinge handle. ("D" shape handle).

The V-LCD-MT-01 is a great mount for my Zoom H1 and DSLR. The mount has some great adjustments and I am not afraid of it coming off the camera. The Zoom H1 is a very light recorder, so I can't comment on the mount's performance with heavier objects.

This mount is great - solid metal to keep it sturdy and hold onto whatever you need attached to your camera, like a portable recorder or external monitor. The tightening screw could have been designed to be a little easier to turn, but it still performs well considering it's about the cheapest sturdy hot shoe to 1/4" mount you can get without paying out the roof for it (like for something at the Zacuto store).

Although described as an LCD mount it really can take any 1/4-20 thread lightweight device and attach it to a Hot Shoe Mount. Build looks solid, I use it for a video light.
