3M's DWD 7400PEN Digital Pen Sleeve (Green) for Digital Boards and Digital Wall Displays is a plastic jacket for ordinary dry erase markers that lets you use them as if you were writing with 3M's Digital Pen. This clever product lets you write with physical ink while still capturing meeting notes to a connected computer.

Because you're not using a digital projector, you forgo the Digital Pen's more advanced capabilities; but sometimes a simple capture utility is all you need. One advantage of ink over the Digital Pen is that you avoid the shadow effect that can occur if you intercept the projector's beam.

Digital Pen Sleeves have designated colors so you can specify which color is in use. Pen sleeves include:

  • DWD 7400PEN Digital Pen Sleeve (Green)
  • DWD 7410PEN Digital Pen Sleeve (Red)
  • DWD 7420PEN Digital Pen Sleeve (Blue)
  • DWD 7430PEN Digital Pen Sleeve (Black)
Other relevant accessories include:
  • DWD 7140ER Digital Eraser
This accessory requires two CR2032 Lithium Ion Batteries (included), which yield about 60 hours of performance.

Write with Ordinary Ink
If you don't need the fully interactive features of the Digital Pen, you can write on a Digital Board with ordinary dry erase ink while still storing meeting notes on your computer. The Digital Pen Sleeve lets an ordinary marker perform basic functions of the Digital Pen.
Keep Track of Color
Variously-colored Digital Pen Sleeves tell your computer which color you're using when you write on a Digital Board with ordinary dry erase ink. Pen Sleeves are available in Green, Red, Blue, and Black.
