The Dorrough AVM-R provides an NTSC video level meter and dual analog audio meters for quick and easy checking of multimedia program levels at a glance. This model combines a 40-N video meter with two 12-A stereo meters in a 19" by 2RU panel, ideal for CATV headends. Nearly any demodulator with video and audio outputs provides the ability to scan through all channels quickly to verify or adjust video and audio levels.
Video Meter is a PAL/SECAM version of the Dorrough LM 40-N. It displays average and peak luminance, sync level, and blanking, allowing "Go/No-Go" decisions to be made at a glance. 75-ohm video connections to the VM-40 are made to BNC loopthrough connectors located on the back panel. A termination toggle switch is provided for single line connection. The meter is powered from a standard 120/240VAC outlet.
- Professional Quality A/V Metering
- The AVMR, is, like all Dorrough meters made for professionals who demand quality. The VW-40 Video Meter retains the familiar Dorrough "ergonomics". A single, gently arced 40-segment LED bar graph displays peak and average luminance and sync information in highly recognizable color-coded segments. The series 12-A audio meters integrate, on the same scale, two ballistics, showing the relationship between the average and the peak.
- Large Display
- Although the VM-40 is not designed to replace your waveform monitor, it will do some things the waveform monitor will not. Most obvious, you can't read your waveform monitor from 20 feet away. The large arched format of the audio loudness meter offers the same advantage.
- Travels Easily
- Whether in a production van with tight space or as a stand-alone, this three-meter combo fits and moves easily.
