The Rolls RM82 rack-mountable mixer features eight balanced XLR microphone and eight 1/4" phone line inputs. The RM82 is a viable solution as an extension mixer for consoles with limited inputs, or for fixed installation in schools, bars, restaurants, theaters and houses-of-worship. The mixer features a 19-inch rack mountable enclosure for easy mobility and storage. The 1/4" phone line level inputs can be switched internally to function as inserts or direct outputs. Inserts allow loop routing to external processing gear, and direct outputs provide discrete output routing of each channel. Pre-fade output and Aux Buss input feature RCA phono connections and enable multiple RM82's to be linked. The front panel features level tone, trim and master level controls.

Comments about Rolls RM82 - Mixer:
The RM82 very versatile mixer so it can fill different needs. This rack mount unit is only 1U height.
Microphones are connected to XLR connectors and input is electronically balanced. The preamps are low noise. Eight dip switches apply phantom power (48V) to each mic input. Trim potentiometers are very small and difficult to adjust by hand. It's easier with a small screwdriver. Level potentiometers are smooth and noise free.
RM82 can be daisy chained to other RM82 (or other mixer) via one pre-fader RCA output. The main output is controlled by the last mixer in the chain.
The main output (XLR connector) can be internally configured as line level (default configuration) or microphone level. Each channel has ¼ TRS jack that can be internally configured as Line Input (default) Insert or Direct Output. Changing the configuration is very easy: remove the cover, change a few jumpers, install the cover and it's done.
I'm very satisfied of my RM82 mixer. The sound is very good. I'm using it to feed eight of my 24 tracks hard disk recorder (my other mixer has only 16 channels). The ¼ TRS jack are configured as line input from factory. I have changed it as direct out very easily. The only thing missing is a headphone jack.
