The Mamiya RB67 Pro SD camera is the latest development in the enduring RB67 series. This version features a larger lens mount opening and still accepts all previous RB67 lenses.
The RB67 Pro SD is a complete mechanical SLR camera system which accepts interchangeable viewfinders, interchangeable multi-format film backs which can be rotated and a comprehensive list of lenses and accessories. Film backs, focusing screens, and viewfinders are interchangeable between all RB67 models.
Mamiya introduced a series of high performance lenses for the RB67 Pro SD designated with a KL prefix. All newer KL lenses will work on the previous RB67 models with the exception of the 75mm Shift and the 500mm f/6
Note! Older RB lenses will require Lens Mount Adapter Ring #301245 for a proper fit. The lens mount allows the use of two lenses: The KL75mm f/4.5 Shift and the KL 500mm f/6 super telephoto

Comments about Mamiya RB67 Pro SD Medium Format SLR Camera Body with Folding Waist Level Viewfinder:
I Just recently received one of these brand new. I was suprised by the precision and low manufacturing tolerances of the camera - particularly the bellows focusing mechanism. It's built like a late 70's Japanese Toyota Celica.
The rotating back is smooth, precise, and positive. The mirror up and lens shutter have a very "photographic" and pleasant sound.
Best to use with waist level finder due to weight and poor visibility issues of accessory prism.
The RB67 in my mind is primarily a portrait camera system from group shots to macro portraiture of isolated facial or body features of one individual. And at that, it's probably the most competent system ever manufactued for the film format.
I feel this is a dream portraiture system for anyone who does their own printing in the darkroom.
I highly recommend this camera to artists intersted in continuing in the medium of film photography.

This camera separates those who love photography and are dedicated to creating the most sublime and beautiful photographs, from those just looking for instant gratification. You will never hear someone who has ever used this fine example of optic engineering complaining of its size or weight. Because once you see the results you see its all worth it.
