I use the Flip Lights with a Cloud Dome, and for other close-up photography. They are very easy to use, as they turn-on when they are opened. They are extremely easy to position.
However, I have been having a great deal of trouble finding the same kind of fluorescent bulbs that are used in this product. If one of the fluorescent bulbs is accidentally broken, I will be spending a great deal of time finding a replacement.

Got two of these to use with the ST130 Soft Light Box. They work okay for this, although somewhat underpowered, and light source when unfolded is rather high in proportion to the tent height. No on/off switch unfortunately - just plug/un-plug.

Can't beat the price/value. I bought an extra one given the price as the bulb is not available on B/H and the local craft store carries the bulb for more than the price of the unit as available from B/H.

These flip lights are very handy items if you do product or close-up work on "things" (not recommended for portrait use). They provide a substantial amount of light and can be positioned in a variety of ways to light the subject.
