I originally purchased the tablet as a support with Photoshop. The tablet and pen can be customized for Photoshop or other progams. After customizing the controls, it makes working in Photoshop much easier than trying to work with a mouse. With the mouse I had to lift it up and relocate it to keep retouching. With the Wacom, I have the whole tablet to work with and can work continuously. I can work the whole area shown on the monitor(s) without having to stop, lift and relocate. The tablet is so handy I have gotten lazy and use it for other applications such as the internet, reading email, etc. It is so much easier than sliding a mouse around. It does take some getting use to since the Intuos does not show the actual image on the tablet.
The only complaint I have is that I did not do my research prior to purchase and I got more tablet than I expected. I was expecting the 9x12 to be 9x12 overall, but the 9x12 is the work space area and the overall tablet is over 13x17 inches. It takes up a lot of space on my work desk. I use 2 monitors at times so that does split the size in half and I keep it set for 2 monitors even when using one. If I set the tablet for single monitor application, then my hand is having to cover a lot of distance back and forth during applications. Of course this is not a problem with the tablet it is my problem for not researching it more. So, consider the size options carefully when making a purchase.

This is the best accessroy one can buy for ones computer - be it a PC or a Mac. The big size helps but waht is great is the ability to use a common utility - the pen - that comes with it it is just so great and easy to use. No more RSI or visits to the masseur - at least not for your forearm / wrist!
It is very intuitive. Great for use with all your software esp image processing stuff, painting & drawing software etc, everything in fact.
Wish I bought this years and years ago.
The included mouse is rarely used but good in some nostalgic situations I suppose.
No cons - just wish I could have afforded an even bigger tablet.
Buy one and you'll never look back.

I bought this product expecting a common tablet based on the ones I owned before. I always had some difficulties drawing on tablets because I am so used on drawing on paper instead. But intuos really made me fell more capable and the drawings seem really natural. All in all, I am really happy with my purchase and I would recommend it for anyone wanting to try a really good tablet.

I bought this based on recommendations from [@] instructors. They were right it makes editing photos much easier. It took me some time to get used to it but I would not give it up today.When I first installed it it would cause my PC to hang on startup. I have to make sure that the mouse is not on the pad and all is well.
