The Ultravid lineup of fabulously svelte binoculars from Leica has been extended to include the compact segment of 8x20 and 10x25 "dual bridge" models. These are initially offered in black with either rubber or leather exteriors, and of course the Trinovid line with its many color options is still available. A major improvement of the Ultravids, beyond their improved shape and increased brightness, is its waterproof and fogproof housing. Now you can take your compact Leica binocular with you in the most ardent climate extremes of humidity, temperature and precipitation without concern for their performance!
The two options listed here as recommended accessories will not abrade your clothing; select the first option if you wish to have the smallest possible case and don't mind folding the binoculars in when done observing, and select the second case if you wish to have no restrictions upon your interpupillary distance adjustment when returning the binocular to the case.

Comments about Leica 10x25 Ultravid Binocular (Black):
I use this pair of bin's for birding and wildlife photography. Can't say enough about them, light, bright, great clarity without breaking the neck OR the bank.
Don't waste your money on bigger binoc's. These maybe small but they are perfect for my needs.

Comments about Leica 10x25 Ultravid Binocular (Black):
Use: Avid birder
These binoculars are very light weight and very sharp. Because of their small object lens (25 mm) it does take a little getting use to training them onto your object of interest. Saying that, the size allows me to take them with me where ever I go. No more I wish I had my binos. These are like the best camera, which is the one you have with you. These binoculars go beyond just having a set to have with you but are spectacularly crisp and clear. Worth the premium price.

Comments about Leica 10x25 Ultravid Binocular (Black):
I use compact binoculars mostly for travel because of their small size. I debated whether to "up grade" to the Ultravid 10X25 binoculars because I already own the Trinovid 10X25 binoculars which are excellent. The casual observer will find it difficult to compare the two binoculars but the Ultravid binoculars are brighter. The image of both binoculars is excellent. The slightly higher "eye point" of the Ultravid binoculars is an advantage if you use eyeglasses. The improved waterproofing of the Ultravid is good for inclement weather.
The construction and cosmetics of the Ultravid binoculars are first rate.
They are expensive but worth it to the critical observer.
