The Premier LX series is Nikon's ultimate roof prism binocular series, and they've redesigned the housings of the entire lineup to shave substantial amounts of weight from the previous generation.

Available in 8x20 and 10x25 pocketable versions, these are spare-no-expense optics with incredibly high light transmission for a roof prism binocular.  Two things shared by almost all compact binoculars are relatively narrow fields of view for their given magnifications and prohibitively small amounts of eye relief.  The 10x25 Premier LX shatters both of these axioms, offering a respectable 5.4° viewing field and 15mm of eye relief.  These aren't earth-shattering numbers, but are nonetheless quite impressive given the breed.  Compare for yourself and see.

Nikon's exclusive lead/arsenic free Eco-Glass is employed in the manufacturing.  All of the Premier LX series are fully nitrogen purged and O-ring sealed units for perfect operation in all conditions.  This 10x25 is so small you can take it everywhere.

All of Nikon's binocular line is backed up by the "No-Fault" lifetime warranty.  Regardless of what happens to your binoculars-even of your own negligence-Nikon will repair or replace (at their option) your binocular for just $10 plus the return shipping costs.

This pair of 10x25 Nikon Premier are every bit as bright and clear as my Leica Ultavid 10x25. Highly recommended.

Comments about Nikon 10x25 Premier LX "L" Binocular:

I bought these to replace a large pair of binos that I was lugging around while hunting.
I walk many miles in a day, and am gone from dawn to dusk, so lighter and smaller is better.
I tried many pairs, and these stood head and shoulders above all other glasses for their brightness and sharpness of image.
Color rendition is perfect. No edge distortion. You can use the entire field edge to edge.

They are surprisingly useful in very low light conditions. I didn't expect them to compete with a nice 40mm lens, but I also didn't expect them to be so close to it! I can clearly count tines on a buck in low light even when he is on the other side of tree branches. Nice!

These glasses are expensive, but you won't regret the purchase. I would buy them again if I lost them. Keep your receipt - Nikon guarantees these for 25 years.

Comments about Nikon 10x25 Premier LX "L" Binocular:

I have big binoculars but never use them, as I never take them anywhere, as they are big.

I wanted some binoculars that would fit in my pocket, for bushwalking, travelling, and taking to concerts etc.

They are very light weight so I never hesitate to take them, and feel very strong, I'm confident they will last.

These were the best quality image I could find in a binocular this small. I wanted 10x to get that bit closer to the details.

The image is superb, colors are accurate, images are bright at night time, letting me see things I can't with the naked eye, and there is no visible aberation at all.

The extending eye cups are a great feature too, reducing the size when not in use, and they fold up small enough to go in a jeans pocket. I did buy a tight neoprene digicam case for them though as the one they come with is too bulky for a pocket.

I didn't install the strap, I find they always just get in the way.

There were no unexpected downsides. They do need to be held still so you don't get fatigued over longer sessions but I expected that from a 10X light weight bino.

The build quality is top shelf.

They get more use than expected and I would buy another par if I lost these.
