O Punho Vertical/Suporte de Bateria Canon BG-E2 adiciona um liberador vertical de obturador, e é compatível com até dois packs de bateria de íons de lítio BP-511, 511A, 512, 514 ou seis baterias AA com o suporte de bateria BGM-E2 incluído. O BG-E2 fornece adicionalmente liberação de obturador, dial principal, trava de AE /FE e seleção de ponto de AF para facilidade de fotografar na vertical, assim como uma rosca de montagem de tripé de tamanho 1/4-20.

I have used my 20D with and without the grip. At the beginning I thought the grip just made it look better (which it does), however, after 2 years of using it. I cannot live without it. Recently we went on vacation and I decided to lighten my load and leave the grip home. Big mistake. The extra battery it carries helps big time. I ran out of battery while at Disney. Never again would I leave it home. Works great. Makes my 20D more balanced.I am looking forward to buying the 40D and the BG-E2N for that body.

Problems Encountered: Original grip had problems with battery life indicator. Canon fixed without any costs. Turnaround was 4 days.

I'm getting ready to order another grip for my backup 20D, it's such a blessing to have the extra battery power, and to have the second shutter release for portraits.

Problems Encountered: It doesn't stick as well as older grips I've used on my older Canon film camera's, but works well. What I mean by that is the grip tends to get loose from time to time, my solution - use a small piece of thin rubber with single sided adhesive on it - for some reason it seems to keep the grip from getting lose.
Previous Equivalent Item Owned: Grips for Elan 7e and older Canon films cameras
Items I Recommend: 20D 30D - Spare 511a batteries.

I used this grip for my camera and it worked great for what i needed. My best friend has one, I asked if I could use it to shot a wedding I was shooting. Being able to shot with comfort was great. For a a camera that has another one to takes its please, it is still a lil much to pay for.

I have used the Canon battery grip on my 10D and have always found the on/off switch difficult to find. I like the new switch on the side of the BG-E2 much better.
