Metz 45-40 NiCad Battery Cluster for the 45 Series Flashes
The Metz 45-40 NiCad Battery Cluster provides a rechargeable NiCad power option for the 45 series of handle mount flashes. Depending upon many variables, the recycling time varies from 0.3-7.0 seconds and the number of flashes varies from 50-2000. The battery requires the Metz 729 Battery Charger (#MZ5310).

I have been using 45-series Nicad battery clusters for my Metz flash for over 25 years. They are very dependable. If recharged according to the manufacturer guidance they really last long. Being a wedding photographer, I depend on it all the time. However, it does take more than four hours to charge it completely.
