The Metz 45-39 Battery Holder should be exclusively used with "AA" alkaline batteries-it does not work well with NiCad, NiMh or other battery types. Depending upon many factors, the recycling time varies from 0.3-13.0 seconds and the number of flashes varies from 100-2000.

Can't beat a good old AA battery holder. Easy, simple, inexpensive. Keeps me going at weddings. I keep a preloaded one in the bag for quick changes. Very durable. Wish it worked better with NiMh.

I never thought that I could still find this 45-39 AA Battery Holder for 45 Series by Metz for my 25+ years old dependable Metz 45 CT potato masher at B & H. Its a better alternative than buying the battery pack that gets thrown out once you have used it up after years in storage of occasional use.
