Not many photo stores carry this battery, thank goodness B&H Camera carry both the Dry Fit & Nicad. Ihave used Metz60CT-1 for over 22 years of doing weddings and this battery will do 2 six hour weddings without me turning the battery off. Actually I figure I could possibly do three without charging it. Battery takes 6 hours to fully charge and is very portable. Would not trade my Metz 60CT-1 for any other flash system. I hope B&H will continue to carry both the Dry Fit & Nicad for the Metz 60CT-1 Flash unit

I realize this is probably not the most popular thing to purchase nowadays, but I think this one sat on B + H's shelf too long. It doesn't seem to have a kick to it. It's recycle time is super slow. I will probably send it back.

Get it within a week after order and is black in color, (my old one is gray), Black goes well with my flash.
I had tested the battery in a wedding shooting and it works great. Full charge is 6.60V and will drop to 6.40V after take out from the charger for 15 minutes. If this battery is on sale in B&H, I will buy one more.

Great to use my 'ole Metz flashes again. The New batteries worked liked a charm, in flash units that had not been used in 9 years. Great Product. Glad I asked if they were still available, nice to use my trusted flashes again at weddings.

This is a replacement for my Metz 60ct-4. I was very happy to discover that I could still buy these new, and that B&H carried them. [...] I already used the new battery at a class reunion that I was covering for another photographer.

A well-constructed heavy-duty battery with the high performance and quality typical of Metz products - made in China, presumably under close supervision by Metz. I use for high output remote flash (60CT) in lighting large halls.

I have two Metz 60 CT-4's and needed batteries, I tried to order then from a battery supply store and was on back order for almost three[3]months, I called their supplier and was told the batteries are coming from Germany and they have no idea when they would arrive..Being the start of college spring sports I needed the batteries. I cancelled the order and called B&H [...]

60 series Metz flash is a workhorse good for an all day shoot. It's a little heavy, but worth it not to be concerned about battery failure and taking time to change power in the midst of a serious shoot.

This battery charged in the recommended amount of time and lasted through a long weekend of shooting wedding candids. It made my Metz 60 ct2 flash new again like it was 24 years ago.

My last 60-30 battery lasted 27 years. Got out of photography for awhile and that one would not take a charge. My fault. Any way, bought a new one ...charged right up and will last probably another 27 years!

Comments about Metz 60-38 Dryfit Battery:
This Metz series of flashes is one of the best ever and the dryfit battery is part of what makes it so good. I've used these for a number of years....they last a long time, both in years and in the number of flashes per charge.
I don't use them very often since I've gone to digital, but from time to time I need a good, strong handheld flash to add fill flash to outdoor shoots with large groups. So, I'd drag out the old Metz, charge up the battery and go to work. The one I had been using finally gave up the ghost....I always marked the date when I put these into service and it was dated in 1997!! Hope the new one lasts as long.

Comments about Metz 60-38 Dryfit Battery:
After using Metz P50 and P76 batteries for years, I prefer these older, albeit heavier batteries. They simply last a great deal longer on a charge, even though it takes longer to charge these batteries fully. It was frustrating for me to find that the P50 and P76, after even a few weeks, lost its charge so I could never count on them being ready to go in a moment's notice. With this dryfit and the Metz 60CT-4 flash, I do not have that worry.
