Being able to arrange the inner compartments is wonderful. I arranged it so I could fit my 40D with a lens mounted (either the 50/1.4 with lens hood on properly, or 28-135) in one compartment, the other lens in another, 1 for a 580exII, with two left for various loose items I'd like to keep readily available. These could otherwise be used for 1 70-200 on its side, or 2 standard lenses stored vertically.
One could easily fill a lady's purse with what could fit in just the side pockets, not to mention all the space in the front pocket. I could EASILY fit my 40D in to either side pocket (but I only did it once to test, I'd NEVER store it there, of course :D). There is also a netted, zippered pouch on the inside of the top.
The only con that I might hold against this bag is that you have to have to engage the strong, yet somewhat tedious chrome buckles up front in order to lift/carry it by the hand strap on the top. Otherwise, the weight of your equipment will be too much for the velcro to hold and the bag will open, but usually not enough for anything to spill out. I've had to train myself to always reach for the shoulder strap.
5 stars nonetheless as this "con" is really a "pro" since you can hold the bag on your shoulder with the bag closed securely "enough" and easily open to reach inside for a lens change, etc.
Not a bad price, either!

I ordered this bag sight unseen based on the owner reviews. I am pretty dissapointed with this bag. In all fairness I'm more dissapointed in myself for not doing more research before making the purchase decision.
I am fairly new to SLR digital photography with only a modest invetory of gear. Specifically: A Canon T2i body with a EF 28-135 lens with a lens hood which I want to keep assembled, ready to shoot; and the EF 18-55 and EF 55-250 kit lenses (kept in low-budget cases) that came with the camera package. The only way all of that will fit in the main body of the bag is for the camera body and attached lense to be stood vertically bearing all of its weight on the lens/lens hood. I don't think that is a good arrangement for transporting a camera. Even after installing the divider pieces the camera seems really unstable inside the bag and with the camera back sticking up above the edge of the bag, it seems really vunerable to damage.
Admittedly, I would have more room inside the bag if I removed the spare lenses from their cases, but I like the extra protection the cases provide. I have a case for the 28-135 lens that I keep mounted on the camera but there is no way that case will fit inside the bag. With the gear inside the bag now I may have room for a really compact flash unit but probably nothing else.
I think this bag will work well if you don't plan to use your camera very much. If you want to store your camera body and unattached lenses in a padded dust free environment this bag may work well for that. But as for being able to pull the camera out of the bag and start shooting, the cheapo backpack bag I bought at my local big-box super center is more functional.
The Velcro around the main compartment is an issue also. It serves well to provide an additional means of insuring that the top stays closed (in addition to the metal buckles) but if you are wearing a sweater or any knit garment with sleeves, the Velcro grabs your clothing when you reach into the main compartment.
The bag is well constructed and pretty well designed. It is simply too small for my needs.

I looked at several bags before deciding on this one. I love it because it is the perfect size (not too big or too small) and not too heavy or cumbersome. It carries everything you need for an outing. It is also sturdy and the compartments can be designed to fit your personal camera needs. Best CANON bag!!

I have recently purchased the Canon Rebel T3 and used tripod and wanted a good bag to put my gear in, but also have room enough for my extras and growth room for more lenses in the future. This bag has plenty of room, it's well padded, waterproof, and I did not find a missing stitch or loose thread in it anywhere. The straps for attaching the tripod on the bottom are long enough for the bulkiest of tripods and the interior compartment pads can be adjusted to fit whatever you want in them, or taken out altogether if necessary. My bag is very well made and I believe it will last me for a long, long time.

Comments about Canon 200DG Deluxe Gadget Bag:
I love this bag, mainly for it's great quality. It's very sturdy, making it a bag I trust with my camera and lenses, and the two silver clips on the front keep it nice and snug in the inside. Large interior as well, fitting my dslr (with a small flash attached), and also up to four lenses. There is plenty of room for some small ascessories too, with two zippered side pockets and a spacious one on the front, as well as a pocket inside the top flap when you open the bag.
It's kind of wide, so it's probably not the type you'd want to wear during a photo session/etc., but great for transporting and storing your camera gear.
And for this price, you won't be dissapointed!

Comments about Canon 200DG Deluxe Gadget Bag:
Purchased this bag after getting my T2I thinking it would be big enough for additional lenses, flash, etc. It isn't. The interior dimension is only 10 inches so if you are planning on any expansion, look elsewhere. Also, the plastic clips and velcro closure is a bit irritating. The bag is always closed which could be a good thing however, if you are trying to get into the bag in a hurry, the constant velcro ripping sound and gyrations to get into it is a hassle. The bag is well built.

I've bought this as a gift for my Dad, I have a tamrac Canon case which i love but it was a bit too small for his new lenses. This bag seems really durable and flexible - my only complaint(and the reason I didn't give it 5 stars) is that it's a bit heavy even when empty. Great case for the money

I previously had a small bag that I had bought when I first purchased my Canon T1i. I soon realized that the bag was not practical. I searched and found this bag. It's perfect. It has sections with dividers, and now I can lay my camera flat instead of in the vertical position. I have room for my lenses, flash, spare batteries, etc. It's also very attractive. It's a little big, but I'll get used to the size. The accommodation is what I really need, and it's practical.

Comments about Canon 200DG Deluxe Gadget Bag:
For me, this bag is so good that it is my second 200DG. The first one (which I've had for several years) is for my MF gear, and this new bag is for my "press" camera gear. The interior is spacious, the two side pockets are large enough for practical storage, the front pocket is large enough for film, filters, and lens cleaning gear. There's also a zip pocket in the inside of the flap which I use for my camera manuals. I've never used the tripod straps under the bag, but I'm glad they're there just in case. Funny thing is that I've never had a Canon in the bag...

I use this to comfortably carry three Canon camcorders (including the larger size HF G10), two camcorder lenses in leather pouches, the Canon shotgun and Dolby 5.1 surround-sound microphones, a Flip Ultra, and two mini tripods in the main carrying area plus a five or six batteries and two chargers in the side pockets. I slide the cameras in vertically (view-finder side down) in the padded divider slots which lets me easily access anything directly! All the sides are nicely padded too and has a good shoulder strap. Works well for my on-location shoots with multiple cameras. (I carry the tripods and hand-held mics in other bags...)

Comments about Canon 200DG Deluxe Gadget Bag:
I have several bags I have purchased over the years, I bought this one so I could have a small bag just to carry required gear. After thirty years of carrying different camera bags I have major back problems from those heavy bags. Due to that I carry only those needed items for a shoot and little else.
This bag is of good construction. The top flap not only has metal latches it also has velcro on the end flaps to keep the ends secure againts the bag when closed, important feature when raining.
The strap is connected with metal latches and rings so it feels much more secure than the cheap plastic ones which a lot of bags have now.
I haven't tried a tripod on the carry rings but have used a monopod. It of course adds more weight but it is keep very secure.
The end pockets are big enough carry memory card cases, batteries, and a lot more.
If you need a case to carry a camera body, a couple of lenses, and some extras this is the case for you. I carry two lenses, a HD video camera, camera body with battery grip, ext tube, and 580 canon flash all in the main part of the bag.
The main section is all velcroed inserts so you can pull them all out and rearranged them to suit yourself.
This bag is great for day photo trips, it won't replace my huge backpack that I use for long trips, L series lenses, and all the gear I normally carry on major shoots but it works great for those short trips.
It carrys well for hours on your shoulder, like all bags though the more you put in it the heavier it gets, so carry time without it digging into your shoulder gets shorter.
