If Lexar is going to keep insisting that we buy new card readers, this one works well. I am using it to read my new 8GB Professional 133x Secure Digital (SDHC) Card by Lexar. I love the flap that lets you close in and protect the SD card while you are working. I do wish Lexar had put some sort of flap on the USB cover, as I keep trying to lose that little thing.

Bought this because of Lexar reputation, it took SDHC and memory stick cards. It is made very cheaply and after first use ,paint and plastic chipping off when cover is closed. The cover is hard to open and close. It does down load pictures, however will it last? I would be very surprised if it does. Lexar makes good memory cards, however this card reader just stinks. Save your money buy a no name brand, quality is just as good or better.

I have ordered several of these card readers for my department. They are small enough to fit in a camera bag, but not too small that my guys loose them. No extra cords needed.

This item works like any memory card or stick and allows one to upload photos from a camera without turning on the camera. I use it with my iMac, and it activates upon connecting the USB connection. Simple and quick, and it supports most camera memory-card formats.

Just needed a way to read SD cards directly.
This is bulkier than many other models and the built quality is flimsy.
I had to return it because I could not even get it to work.

I use this constantly to transfer recordings of classroom activities so that I can better judge how I managed an activity, to see how engaged all students were with the activity and to see how I can improve instructions and differentiate activities in ways that are helpful to my students. It is very simple to transfer recordings to my computer - - literally takes seconds.

Picked it up at the B&H store in New York City, while I was on a photo shoot. Used it with my extreme SD Card. It's a sold product and you just throw in your bag and it works.I don't have time to waste, so it has good load speeds and does the trick. You can't go wrong with this one !

I use it with SDHC cards. Works fine, fast throughput, no problems on Windows XP. Has boxy, cheap feel to it, not that well constructed, but functionally OK.

I have a camera that uses sD cards and another that uses xD. This reads and transfers both types rapidly. I use it at home and while traveling. I can use it on other people's computers without carrying along a CD of driver software. It is tiny and lightweight, but still sturdy. It comes with a cap to protect the port when not in use. The price is excellent for what I got. I have no complaints.

This is a great size piece, doesn't take up too much space in the camera bag. I don't have the ability to download SD cards on my computer so it's a blessing. Works great and quick too.
