Comments about Audio-Technica 8471 Isolation Clamp:
Solid product. Spendy for what it is. $15 would be a better pricepoint.
Comments about Audio-Technica 8471 Isolation Clamp:
This is an Audio-Technica product that happens to fit Audix drum mics (D6, D4, D2).
The Audix mics come with flimsy clips that offer no sonic benefits.
The rubbery aspect of the Audio Technica 8471 mic clamp is great in avoiding low end feedback when used in live sound, as well as providing a more secure hold on the microphone.
It's the next best thing after a suspension mount (spider), without the fragility or the size.

Comments about Audio-Technica 8471 Isolation Clamp:
I use this product to record lectures and presentations that I re-use at work. The mic clamp removes the negative effects of someone bumping the table while I'm recording, or the vibration of a/c systems running, or folks writng on the same table that I am using to hold the microphone. Any surface that shakes or vibrates and effects recording is minimized. The sound quality is really improved and those peaks from being bumped are lessened on your recording.
