One of the few unambiguously sub-par products I've encountered here at B&H. The software disc included with the reader trashed my laptop's operating system when I attempted to install the 'Button' application and the card reader played hide and seek when I attempted to use it manually, on ANY computer.

This is my second 12-in-1 reader - one for studio, one for travel. A very reliable piece of gear. I "don't leave home without it." Well built. No serious issues. My only problem is the CF card is a bit tricky to insert - difficult to get it correctly aligned. It could be that the curved designed throws my eye-hand-coordination off. A small annoyance that I've gotten used to and live with because the unit is so reliable. Likewise, the docking connection is slightly tricky.

I purchased this for my second computer after a couple of years with my first one. They are very versatile and reliable, and they take up only a small amount of space thanks to an included stand that allows the unit to stand upright. I use it for directly uploading my images from my CF, SD, and Memory Stick cards. Much safer than uploading directly from the camera via a cable -- I actually fried a camera doing that (fortunately it was just a small point & shoot!). A must-have for convenience and for protecting your equipment! My only complaint is that I couldn't get the on-touch button/software to work on eith of my computers, but it's really no problem at all, as my other software recognizes this device as another drive on the system. The cable is only a few inches long, so you'll probably need a standard USB extension cable.

Heard about these at a photography seminar. Told they were better for downloading than the USB hooked to your camera. Purchased it the minute I got home. Great little gadget. Just pop the card in and download your images. I recommend this!

I shoot horse races and need fast and reliable service in between the races for upload and this product delivers that! I love the design of the product cause it makes all of the slots easy to find and it makes a professional photographers life easy for transfer. Highly recommended!

I put in my card and voila the photos were there.
Easy instructions, easy to open photos, easy to use.
Lots of slots for lots of cards. I have a few different cameras which all have different cards. It's nice to have one item at my finger tips.

I just started using this product and I have to say that I'm pretty pleased with it. Overall, it's as advertised. It's much faster than transferring from a camera and definitely saves on the life of the camera as well. On the downside, if you're on a Mac, the little magic button doesn't work - but that's ok with me - it would just fine otherwise.

Reads all cards I use in my cameras. Good portability: lightweigth and used in my notebook with the included short cable, just plug and play. No complaints.

I purchased this card reader after finding my original one of a different brand would not recognize my wife's SD cards.
The Sandisk unit installed and opened both the SD cards and my CF cards with no drama.
The added advantage is it can remain on its stand on the computer desk and be ready at all times to download images

I replaced my Sandisk 6-in-1 card reader with this 12-in-1 because the former does not work with cards greater than 2 gigabytes. The 12-in-1 reads from and writes to 4 gig cards without any problem. It is fairly speedy, though not the fastest on the market. Compatibility is great. Works with every memory stick, compact flash, and SD card I've thrown at it.

I've wanted a card reader for a while to move images from my flash cards to my computer. This one was nice it is a little faster than doing it through the cord. I have a couple different cameras so there is space for my different types of cards.
