As a student filmmaker, I use this tape often on set as a grip or gaffer. It also comes in handy in our room for taping cords, cables, etc. This tape is some really solid stuff that can be used several times without loosing its strength. Also, removable without any residue. The only "drawbacks" of this product that I can see is that it is a bit stiffer and thicker than most gaff tape that I'm used to, and the price is a bit high, but in my opinion the quality is worth the price. Overall, the best tape I've used.

My crew goes through one or two rolls of Permacel Gaffer tape a week, sometimes more. This ain't it! While the illustration depicts Permacel, a very high-end, professional gaffer's tape, the product that was delivered was thinner, less adhesive, and yet more likely to leave a residue on surfaces.
Hold out for the real thing, or face disgruntled crew members!

There's gaffer tape and then there's the professional, thick, real, stuff. For many uses the thinner tape is fine, but when you need the real thing, the Permacel or Surtape professional think tape is the way to go.
