I highly recommend this product. Well made, lightweight, easy to use.
2 1/2 months after lower spine surgery (primarily due to excessive lower back damage from years of hand held work)I was able and allowed to return to work which included hand held work with full production kit on a REDone because I was going to be using Easyrig. I showed it to my physio who researched and approved it. Without Easyrig I would not have been able to do the 5 week tele feature job.
Do be very sure on what weight camera you want to use so as to order the correct model.The recommended camera weights listed by Easyrig are accurate. Eg: the 700n will be no good for say a typical 2/3" chip camcorder.
Only negative is that there is zero adjustment to increase the range of weight it will carry meaning you need most of the arms to cover all camera weights. I think they should design even a small adjustment into each arm so that maybe the weight range is increased some.It will get costly and unaffordable to cover all camera weights.
I will buy another arm for lighter camera but can't afford all of them.
With the camera (REDone) in full production mode(follow focus, base plate, rods, matte box, evf, monitor, battery, Red drive, and even a rain deflector) I had zero weight on my back.
So many products nowadays come in cardboard boxes, but this comes in a superb petrol bag which impressed me. Also it is designed by a cameraman not a designer so its functional and useful.
I may use this on documentaries but in reality it may slow you down if on a fast turn around shoot where you need to quickly shoot varying angles beyond from shoulder to hip height. Yet to test it in this environment. But definitely great on movies, tele features, commercials, corporates,music videos,sports or most hand held situations.
