The 55-200mm f/4.5-5.6 DC lens was exclusively designed to suit the characteristics of digital SLR cameras. Ideal as a full-range telephoto zoom lens, this compact telephoto zoom lens provides an equivalent range of approx. 110-400mm when used with the Olympus digital SLR cameras (Four Thirds System) (*).
DC lenses are exclusively designed for digital SLR cameras. The image circle (rear of lens) is made to match the smaller dimensions used for the image sensor on digital cameras. As a result these lenses are also more compact and lightweight, and are better matched to digital SLR cameras.
(*) Note: Not suitable for 35mm film SLR cameras, or for 35mm size "full-frame" digital cameras.

Comments about Sigma 55-200mm f/4-5.6 DC Lens for Olympus Digital AF:
The photos come out nice and clear. Excellent choice if you need that extra reach. When zooming, the zoom ring gets a bit tight (harder to turn) as you get closer to 200mm (at least on mine), but that's not much of a problem. For the price, this is an excellent investment! I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-L1.

Comments about Sigma 55-200mm f/4-5.6 DC Lens for Olympus Digital AF:
I use this lens with a Olympus E-330. The Sigma has a little more zoom range than the Olympus equivalent for the price (about 12x zoom). It seems to work well with the Olympus autofocus.
For the money the Sigma is a good deal and delivers very nice images.
