Sandisk makes really rugged CF cards. I have used them for years. One card survived a trip though the washer/dryer and another survived being played with by the dog.

I have been using this product with a high end camera and am very satisfied. No problems with it yet. It is fast enough to keep up with the speed of the camera. I would reccommend it to anyone.

I have 6 of these in my gear bag and they have never let me down yet. Fast, Reliable memory and the DL times to your PC will just fly with these. Also keeps up well with my buffer with 15-20 shot burst out of my Nikon D300 while shooting sports or fast action shots. I Highly recommend these cards ! No cons with this product IMO

I used this product with a new Canon Digital Rebel XTi camera, and it worked fantastically. I have not tried any other brand of card, and don't feel the need to. Not only did the camera write to it very quickly, the "burst" performance with the card was often higher than spec'd.

In my Nikon D200, its a great card. Its fast and reliable. Shooting raw takes a lot of space at 10 megapixels. A fast, large-capacity reliable card is a must.

I have used Sandisk cards for years. I own the 4gb and 8gb Extreme III versions and have NEVER had a glitch, error, or hang up with them using them in my Canon 10D, 30D and 40D's. I try to incorporate safe practices in handling like turning off the camera before pulling them out and formatting the card in the camera I am using it on every use. That may avoid a lot of the potential problems. It is not the cards fault if it is mishandled between the camera and the computer download. That being said I have been in a hurry and done just the opposite of what I said and they have worked fine. I debated on whether to get the Extreme IV version but the data I have read is that the Canon 30 and 40D s I use would not see a huge benefit if any. Personally I have not got into buffer lock because of the card. The camera write speed and computer upload is noticeably faster than the basic original version. Sandisk cards are the only card I use and the only ones I recommend.

Problems Encountered: None, but check the Sandisk website for GB compatibility with your camera. Some cameras cannot read above 8gb's.

This card is build up to its name. i shoot weddings with 2 cameras all in RAW and both are loaded with these 4gbs. these cards process super fast and smooth. Ive chose the 4gbs for the safe support limit of most DSLRS. Ive read lots of problems who are shooting with the 8 and 12gb cards that giving them all kinds of errors and format problems. you cant afford to be dealing with that drama especially on a wedding shoot. the 4gb has worked flawlessly under all conditions from hot afternoon beach weddings to spraying champagne at parties.

It's become my default card. I also have Lexar Pro and Microdrives in 4GB, but this one sees much more duty. Note to Nikon users the Sandisk products are the ones you want. Even the fastest Lexar cards will seem poky in comparison. Any amateurs reading should go for the larger, faster card. The faster uploads and durability are worth the money and the price differences are negligible in the long run.

I decided to spend the extra money and get the Extreme III and it was well worth it. I used it in my Marantz PMD660 solid state recorder and have never had a problem with it. It will hold 6:23 hours of uncompressed 44.1 wave files. The transfer speed is better than the 120x speed card that I now use as a back up. Buy it, you know you want it!

I really regret I bought cheap CFs (more than 5 cheap ones.) Please take my advice, don't buy that cheaper CF!! Even if you are an amateur!!PROOF: I used this with my SLOW, SLOW Canon EOS 10D, and just kept shooting every less than a second, for more than 30 seconds and WOW!!! The images are being saved FAST!!!NOTE: I set the files to the LARGEST resolution... And I did NOT even experience the camera being idled (that you can't shoot anymore) for saving the images, I just kept shooting!!With the CHEAP CFs... I missed a lot of shots due to the camera is still saving the images... please wait... and I can NOT shoot anymore!

Problems Encountered: NONE so far... I heard this can't be formated with Canon EOS-1D Mark II & III (but I don't really know.) Will update you all when I try it with Mark III... Please come back soon!

Own two other CF cards, both are 2 Gig. One Kingston, the other RiData. The Sandisk blows them away on the speed factor, both in camera as well as downloading to the pc. I don't think I'll ever buy a value card again.
